The Austin Symphonic Band Board of Directors meets the first Tuesday of each month at the John Connally HS band hall at 6:30pm. Interested parties are invited to attend and all board meetings are open to the public. Although anyone may attend and speak on any topic, only board members (president, president-elect and past president, board members at large) may vote on matters brought before the board. Meetings start promptly at 6:30 due to the amount of work at each meeting.

A summer working meeting is normally held when the band is on its break, and normally consumes several hours. This meeting is generally held at an officer's house.

Those wanting to get an item added to the agenda of a board meeting are advised to contact a band officer. Failing this, new business items are the last things to be discussed, time permitting.
