The 2000-01 season promises even more excitement than last year's (which
included a sold-out season finale), with the continuation
of our popular Subscription Series, Parks Concert Series, and
Around Town concerts. Have a look - there's something here for everyone.
Our MicroBand will continue to present mini-concerts -
generally taking a subset of the band into a senior center or similar location.

19th Annual Record & CD Sale
Benefitting the Austin Symphonic Band & KMFA-FM
This annual tradition kicks the band's season off with a bang, as hundreds
of record
aficionados
from the area converge on KMFA's studios to peruse literally thousands of records that have been donated by friends of both the band and KMFA.
The band will perform at 10 and 11 AM; the sale runs from 8AM to 2PM.

The band's first outdoor concert of the season will present
plenty of old favorites .. and a new favorite or two, as well! Bring the

The return of a crowd favorite! The ASB Microband joins forces with the Austin Handbell Ensemble for this fun and light holiday concert at
the Connally HS PAC. Admission is free; however, donations will be accepted and are very much appreciated! Come ring in the season with the ASB and the AHE!

Mariachi Rebeldes del Sur of Travis High School, Zeke Castro, Conductor -

Last year the ASB closed its Subscription Series
with a Scottish-themed concert; what could be better to close this year's series
than with one celebrating Mexico? The Travis High School Mariachi
Rebeldes del Sur will join the band as it presents a joyous selection of works,

Father's Day in the Park
ASB celebrates your Dad with this annual concert at the Zilker
Hillside Theatre. Marches, patriotic melodies, and other familiar works
are the order of the day - selections that will have your Dad's toe tappin' - as well as your own! Bring a picnic basket and spread out a blanket under
the oaks at the Hillside Theatre.

Hyde Park Patriotic Service
In what has become an annual event, members of the band will participate in Hyde Park's patriotic services, held each year the Sunday before Independence Day.
This year, the celebration will be held at The Quarries Recreation Area in the Millwood Area. The program will include a Barbecue dinner ($5.00)
from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. The Patriotic Service will follow from 7:30 - 8:30 p.m. Between 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m., Blue Bell Ice Cream will be served, and the
ASB concert will begin. At around 9:15 p.m., ASB will play patriotic music to clap to for Hyde Park's FIRST Fireworks Spectacular.

Old Settlers' Park Round Rock 8:15pm
| July 4th Celebration!
Once again, the band will perform in front of a crowd of thousands at Round Rock's Old Settler's Park,
located off HWY 79 in Round Rock near the Dell Diamond. This will be the celebration of Round Rock's 150th Birthday, with cake, skydivers,
and other performances as well as a FIREWORKS Show while ASB plays. Bring a radio - our concert will be simulcast.

Fisherman's Park Bastrop 8:15 pm
| Old Iron Bridge Festival
The band makes its annual appearance at this slice of Americana, along the banks of the Colorado River
at Fisherman's Park in Bastrop. The evening (and the season) closes with a fireworks
spectacular as the band plays on!
