1998-1999 Concert Season

The 1998-1999 season takes the Austin Symphonic Band to new heights with the introduction of the band's first ever subscription series! We'll also present free concerts at Zilker Park and other locations around Austin to ensure that everyone has a chance to hear our brand of classical music. Have a look - there's something here for the entire family!

Single tickets can be purchased from Aus-Tix, 454-TIXS (located inside "Cheapos CDs", 10th at Lamar), or at the door. Mother's Day in the Park
The Austin Symphonic Band's annual tribute to Moms everywhere, this Austin tradition becomes more popular each year. This year, we'll feature standards, the music from "South Pacific," and a trio of works from the great Australian composer, Percy Grainger. Join the band as it makes its annual appearance at this beloved annual event. Records and CDs of all styles are for sale - and this year, for the first time ever, a portion of the proceeds will go to the Austin Symphonic Band! There's more than classical music on sale here, as well. If you can't make it, the 11AM performance will be broadcast live on KMFA-FM 89.5, Austin's listener-supported classical music station.

2nd annual TSSEC Golf Tournament
Benefitting the Austin Symphonic Band
Sponsored by Brook Mays and H&H Music
In conjunction with the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest, Brook Mays and H&H Music bring you this light-hearted golf tournament, where net proceeds benefit the Austin Symphonic Band. Tournament entry fee is a low $40 which includes green fees, cart rental, lunch, and a drink coupon. The event will be held at the beautiful Blackhawk Golf Course.
