Austin Symphony Orchestra Maestro Peter Bay is a strong supporter of not just the ASO, but community-based classical music in general; as an example, he was seen perusing the stacks during this season's Record and CD Sale benefitting ASB. In response to a recent invitation from one of our board members, Maestro Bay recently contacted the band office to inquire about the possibility of guest conducting the ASB. Needless to say, the band would be honored by the presence of the maestro on the podium, and we are working to determine when this can fit into his busy schedule. In all likelihood, this will be at one of next season's Subscription Series concerts.
