Illuminati Online is one of the oldest
internet service providers in Austin, dating back to the days when most
people had never heard of "internet", and Al Gore hadn't thought to claim the
credit for it. The cheerfully independent service is also one of the
best in Austin, with a number of "Best of Austin" awards as presented
by the Austin Chronicle. Even better,
they don't run hundreds of annoying commercials every weekend comparing
themselves to one of the worst national ISPs;
they prefer to spend money on rock-solid servers and live
24-hour technical support.
It was only natural for the ASB, therefore, to approach Steve Jackson and
the fine folks at "IO," as it's known locally, when it came time to move
the domain recently. Much to our delight, they agreed to donate not only
a web site, but everything required for us to have the domain hosted at
Illuminati. Disk space (lots of it), streaming Real Audio for our music (though now we will have to re-record some
tracks to take advantage of this!), and everything else a domain owner could
ever want. Compared to the last time we moved our domain, everything this
time was a piece of cake, and the technical support (with a tip o' the
hat to Sandra King) has been superb.
So, if you need to get internet service in Houston or Austin, check out
what Illuminati Online has to offer.
You'll be glad you did .. and if you tell 'em "asb" sent you, we will too.
Fnord! (what does that mean? Sorry, you're not cleared for that.)
